Visit to a Doctor

Goal and Objectives  

 Goal: The child will learn that doctors are there to help them feel better and will understand how to express their feelings when asked by the doctor.

 Objectives:

 The child will learn to:

      • Inform their parents when they feel unwell or get hurt.
      • Wait their turn at the clinic.
      • Undergo a check-up at the clinic.
      • Ask for their parents’ help if they feel uncomfortable during the check-up.

Social Narrative

This narrative describes a social situation or activity and answers key questions: What, When, Where, Why and How. It helps individuals with special needs understand the appropriate behaviours and responses for similar situations.
