I Use Crayons for Colouring

Goal and Objectives  

  Goal: To make the student aware that the crayons are used only for colouring.

  Objectives:

  The student will:

      • learn to regulate himself/herself and choose a suitable alternative for chewing and biting.
      • remember to keep the crayons back in their place after using them.
      • learn to use other’s crayons with their permission.
      • learn to express their sensory needs appropriately.
      • be aware that biting crayons is harmful to the health.
      • understand the right way of using crayons.

Social Narrative

This narrative describes a social situation or activity and answers key questions: What, When, Where, Why and How. It helps individuals with special needs understand the appropriate behaviours and responses for similar situations.
